Serotonin and Noradrenaline Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRIs)
Serotonin and noradrenaline reuptake inhibitors (abbreviated SNRI) is a group of widely used psychiatric medications.
SNRIs works through blocking the reuptake of serotonin and noradrenaline in the nerve cells synapses, increasing their effect their on the brain. They're mainly used in treating emotional disorders such as depression and anxiety, as well as in the treatment of fibromyalgia symptoms. Medications containing serotonin and noradrenaline reuptake inhibitors are generally well tolerated.
